Javier Hernandez is not leaving Bayer Leverkusen anytime soon
Javier Hernandez’s move to Bayer Leverkusen has kicked-started his career back to life.
The path of the Mexican player has been a difficult one as he was almost non-existent with Manchester United and Real Madrid but things turned around in favor of the 27 year old attacker as he made a move to the German outfit Bayer Leverkusen on August of 2015 and so far has turned into a reliable source of goals who has managed to score over 20 goals in his debut season.
After having gone through so many struggling seasons with clubs, it seems like Javier Hernandez has finally found a place where he belongs and can settle. Even though the Mexican player has only been with Bayer Leverkusen for around 6 months, he has already turned into a fan’s favorite with supporters of the club shouting his name, wearing his jersey and displaying banners of him in every single match, it’s clear that Hernandez is in the club that can help him progress and evolve as a player.
The decision to sign Javier Hernandez has been a superb one for Bayer Leverkusen as he was acquired for only a fee of £7.3m and this is a bargain price for a player who has made such a big and positive impact in the German club and it was recently announced by sporting director of Bayer Leverkusen that they have no plans of offloading him anytime soon.
Liverpool is interested in signing Javier Hernandez and they are believed to be preparing a summer offer for the Mexican attacker but Bayer Leverkusen is not interested in selling their star attacker.
"It's easy to reject offers when you are in a position in which you don't need to sell. We are in such a position. We will keep the players we want to help us achieve our goals." Bayer Leverkusen’s Sporting Director, Rudi Voller said.
Even if Liverpool or any other club does launch a substantially large offer for Javier Hernandez, it’s better off for Bayer Leverkusen and for the player himself that all of the bids are rejected.
Hernandez has switched from different clubs for a number of different times but he has never gone through such an impressive campaign as he has done with Bayer Leverkusen. The Mexican player can’t afford seeing his career take another dip in form and his best choice is to stay put with Bayer Leverkusen instead of joining another team.
