STAYING IN MANCHESTER

Javier Hernandez will continue playing for Manchester United in the remaining part of the ongoing season.

The Mexican forward is believed to be in huge demand in Europe as the clubs from all over the continent are interested in securing his services, but, the Manchester United management is not willing to let him go during this transfer window as they consider him a key part of their squad.

Hernandez’s agent yesterday revealed the interest of the clubs in the striker, but, he made it quite clear that there is no possibility of the player making a move away from UK this month.

Talking about the chances of Hernandez’s transfer, his agent said, “I had a chat with the club’s (United’s) president a few days back. He believes that Javier is vital for the team. So, I don’t see the transfer taking place in near future. Things might change later on though.”

“A lot of clubs from different parts of Europe are looking to have him.”

Hernandez is not the first choice striker at Old Trafford at this point of time. He is at no. 4 in the pecking order despite being consistent in the recent past. Whenever he has been asked to go onto the pitch this season, he hasn’t disappointed his manager, but, he generally doesn’t find a place in the starting line up of the Red Devils.

Hernandez has spent 4 seasons at Old Trafford till now. In fact, this is the 4th one and his overall numbers for the club don’t look poor at all. He has played more than 90 matches in the Premier League for United and has produced the goods quite often.

In the ongoing season, Hernandez has found the net 7 times for United so far.
